Santos (São Paulo) is Brazil's busiest container port and the primary entry for Indian home textiles — via Suez from Mundra or Nhava Sheva, typically 32–36 days via Cape or Suez routing. Paranaguá handles southern Brazilian cargo. Itajaí serves Santa Catarina furniture-industry cargo. Most sailings transship via Algeciras or Port Said. Inland haulage from Santos to São Paulo typically runs under 24 hours by road.
Duty & FTA
Cushions classify under HS 6304.92 (cotton, not knitted) or HS 6304.93 (synthetic fibre). India and the MERCOSUR bloc (of which Brazil is the largest member) have a limited Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) in force since 2009 covering selected tariff lines with partial preferences; coverage on HS Chapter 63 is limited. Brazil's Common External Tariff (TEC) otherwise applies — typically in the 18–26% range on home-textile lines, plus federal and state taxes. Brazilian import IPI, ICMS, PIS and COFINS cumulatively add substantially to landed cost. The SISCOMEX electronic customs platform manages declarations.
Compliance
INMETRO is Brazil's principal product-safety regulator; certain textile product categories require INMETRO conformity assessment before import. The Consumer Defense Code (Código de Defesa do Consumidor, CDC) mandates Portuguese-language labelling with fibre composition, country of origin, care instructions and importer/distributor identification. ANVISA rules cover any anti-microbial claims. Brazilian department stores and hospitality groups typically require OEKO-TEX Standard 100; Sedex SMETA 4-pillar audits satisfy ethical-sourcing requirements.
Commit Cycle
Brazilian home-textile buyers commit SS ranges in February–March for Southern-Hemisphere October delivery (local spring), and AW ranges in August for March delivery. The principal Brazilian home-and-gift trade show is Paralela Gift and ABUP Gift Fair (São Paulo). Movexpo and ForMóbile São Paulo focus on furniture-adjacent home textiles. Brazilian private-label buyers increasingly attend the Delhi Fair (October) for direct Indian supplier engagement.

We ship from Mundra and Nhava Sheva in India to Santos, Itajaí, Paranaguá in Brazil. Typical ocean transit is 35 to 45 days plus customs clearance. For smaller orders we can consolidate via LCL groupage services direct to Brazil inland container depots or bonded warehouses.
Minimum order quantity depends on construction. We support low MOQs across printed, woven and embroidered cushion constructions, sized to your programme requirements. Sampling-stage MOQs are kept low to support buyer development cycles. For first-container pilot runs we accept blended MOQs across a curated range of designs.
