San Antonio and Valparaíso are Chile's primary container ports — sailings from Nhava Sheva or Mundra via Singapore or Panama Canal transhipment typically run 35–40 days. Duty & FTA
Throws and blankets classify under HS 6301.30 (cotton blankets and travelling rugs) and HS 6301.40 (synthetic blankets and travelling rugs). India and Chile have a Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) in force since 2007, which was expanded in 2017 to cover a broader tariff-line range. Several HS Chapter 63 home-textile lines benefit from preferential margins under the expanded PTA — importers should verify the current concession schedule with their customs broker. Chilean import VAT (IVA, 19%) applies on CIF value plus duty. The Servicio Nacional de Aduanas operates an efficient electronic clearance system.
Compliance
Chilean Law 19.496 (Consumer Rights Law) mandates Spanish-language labelling with fibre composition, country of origin, care instructions and importer/distributor identification. SERNAC (Servicio Nacional del Consumidor) enforces consumer-information rules. INN (Instituto Nacional de Normalización) Chilean standards cover textile testing methods. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is the baseline chemical-safety expectation for Chilean mid-market and premium retailers; Sedex SMETA audits satisfy ethical-sourcing requirements.
Commit Cycle
Chilean home-textile buyers commit SS ranges in February–March for Southern-Hemisphere October on-shelf delivery, and AW ranges in August for March delivery. Chile's principal design and home event is Edifica Santiago. Chilean premium retailers additionally source through Paralela Gift São Paulo, Heimtextil Frankfurt and increasingly travel to the Delhi Fair (October) for direct Indian supplier engagement under the India–Chile PTA.

We ship from Mundra and Nhava Sheva in India to Valparaíso, San Antonio, Arica in Chile. Typical ocean transit is 40 to 50 days plus customs clearance. For smaller orders we can consolidate via LCL groupage services direct to Chile inland container depots or bonded warehouses.
Minimum order quantity depends on construction. We support low MOQs across woven, printed and embroidered throw constructions. Sampling-stage MOQs are kept low to support buyer development cycles. For first-container pilot runs we accept blended MOQs across colours and patterns.
