Private Label · Australia
India-made, OEKO-TEX & GOTS certified bedding programmes for Australian department stores, home-specialty chains and D2C online home brands and hospitality buyers.
Trade Partner
Abhi Home has manufactured home textiles in India since 1965. We supply duvet covers, quilts, bedspreads and sheet sets to Australia retailers, importers and hospitality groups under their own private-label programmes — from single-design repeat orders to 20-SKU seasonal ranges. Our facility is OEKO-TEX Standard 100, GOTS, GRS and BCI certified, and we hold Sedex, SA 8000 and BSCI social audits against the compliance frameworks typically required by Australian department stores, home-specialty chains, D2C online home brands and hospitality buyers.

Sydney (Port Botany) for NSW and ACT DCs, Melbourne for Victoria and South Australia distribution, Brisbane for Queensland programmes, and Fremantle for Western-Australia consolidation.
22–28 days ocean transit plus customs. Total order-to-DC lead time is typically 75–95 days from confirmation, depending on fabric development and sampling approval.
AS/NZS 1957 textile care-labelling conformity, Consumer Product Safety declarations, flammability reports where applicable (AS/NZS 4014), SEDEX SMETA audit reports and OEKO-TEX certificates of compliance per shipment.
Australia Trade Intelligence
Beyond the generic sourcing process, successful India-to-Australia bedding programmes hinge on four country-specific realities: the India–Australia shipping corridor, the duty and trade-agreement landscape, Australia-specific textile and product compliance, and Australia retailer commit cycles. Each is covered below.
Trade Lane
Sydney (Port Botany), Melbourne, Brisbane and Fremantle are Australia's primary container ports. Direct sailings from Nhava Sheva (JNPT) via Singapore transhipment reach Sydney in 18–22 days on Maersk, MSC and ANL services — a comparatively short India-to-Australia ocean transit. Melbourne is the principal Victorian and South-Australian entry. Brisbane handles Queensland retail DCs. Fremantle (Perth) covers Western Australia.
Duty & FTA
Bedding products classify under HS 6302.21 (printed cotton bed linen), HS 6302.31 (cotton bed linen, other) and HS 6302.22/6302.32 (synthetic bed linen). The India–Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (ECTA), in force since December 2022, provides duty-free access for Indian-origin cushions and most HS Chapter 63 home-textile lines to the Australian market — a material structural advantage versus China-origin and other non-FTA sourcing countries. Importers must hold a Certificate of Origin under ECTA to claim the preferential rate. Australian GST (10%) applies on landed value. The Australian Border Force operates the ICS (Integrated Cargo System) for electronic declarations.
Compliance
Australian Consumer Law (ACL) under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 governs product safety and information. Trade Practices (Consumer Product Information Standards) (Cosmetics) Regulations 1991 and textile labelling requirements mandate fibre composition, country of origin and care instructions in English. For hospitality-contract upholstery, AS/NZS 1530.3 (early fire hazard properties) and AS/NZS 3837 apply. Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018 obliges entities with annual revenue above AUD 100 million to publish supply-chain statements — Sedex SMETA audits support compliance. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is the baseline chemical-safety expectation.
Commit Cycle
Australian home-textile buyers commit AW ranges in August for Southern-Hemisphere March delivery (local autumn), and SS ranges in February for October delivery. Australia's principal home-and-gift trade events are Reed Gift Fairs Sydney and Melbourne (February and August). Life Instyle Sydney and Melbourne (February/August) target design-led and lifestyle buyers. Many Australian department-store and private-label buyers travel to Hong Kong Houseware Fair (April) and the Delhi Fair (October) — the latter increasingly important under ECTA.
Bedding Range for Australia Buyers
Every bedding range below can be produced in GOTS organic cotton, BCI cotton or linen blends, in thread counts from 144 TC to 400 TC, with print, yarn-dye, jacquard and embroidery finishing. Full product detail on the main Bedding page.
Australian Compliance
Australian retailers specify OEKO-TEX Standard 100 across home-textile programmes, with GOTS, GRS and BCI increasingly required by mid-market and premium buyers. Our manufacturing holds SA 8000, BSCI and Sedex SMETA social-compliance audits — the frameworks used by Australian retailer ethical-sourcing teams. We supply AS/NZS 1957 care-labelling documentation per shipment. Full certification detail on our Sustainability page.
