Duty & FTA
Bedding products classify under HS 6302.21 (printed cotton bed linen), HS 6302.31 (cotton bed linen, other) and HS 6302.22/6302.32 (synthetic bed linen). As an EFTA member, Norway is a party to the India–EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA), signed in March 2024. TEPA provides phased tariff reduction on Indian-origin textile exports to Norway — importers should confirm the current preference schedule with their Norwegian customs broker and ensure EUR.1 movement certificates accompany every shipment. Norwegian import VAT (25%) applies on CIF value plus duty.
Compliance
Norway, as an EEA member, applies EU REACH Regulation 1907/2006 through the Norwegian Environment Agency (Miljødirektoratet). EU Textile Labelling Regulation 1007/2011 applies and requires Norwegian-language fibre labels. The Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet) enforces marketing-control and product-information rules. We ship from Mundra and Nhava Sheva in India to Oslo, Bergen, Gothenburg (transhipment) in Norway. Typical ocean transit is 28 to 34 days plus customs clearance. For smaller orders we can consolidate via LCL groupage services direct to Norway inland container depots or bonded warehouses.
Minimum order quantity depends on construction. We support low MOQs across printed, yarn-dyed and jacquard bedding constructions, sized to your programme requirements.
