Any Length, Any Width

Standard bath mat sizes do not fit every bathroom. Abhi Home® makes bath runners and large bath rugs to the exact dimensions in your brief, in tufted, 100% cotton chenille and woven constructions.

Runners can be sold on their own or matched to a standard rug as a set. Every size is finished with the anti-slip backing your programme needs and sampled at full size before bulk.

Where Runners and Large Rugs Earn Their Place

Double vanities

One long runner in front of two basins instead of two small mats.

Long and narrow bathrooms

Runner lengths that cover the walk from door to bath or shower.

Walk-in showers

Wider, larger rugs that catch water across the whole shower entry.

Hotel and rental bathrooms

Custom sizes cut to the room, specified once and repeated across properties.

Making a Long Rug Behave

A runner is not a bath mat stretched longer. Size changes how a rug lies, how it washes and how it grips. These are the points we engineer for:

Choose the Backing

Every runner and large bath rug can be finished with the backing your programme needs. We confirm the backing in writing at sampling, then wash-test it on the approved sample so grip and adhesion are proven before bulk. Unbacked versions are available on request.

Latex (full coat)

A continuous latex coat locks the pile in and gives the firmest grip on tile. It is our standard backing. Latex has a heat limit, so it suits 30 to 40°C home washing and low or line drying, not hot tumble drying.

Spray latex

A lighter, sprayed latex layer. The rug stays softer and more flexible, with good grip for everyday home use.

Hot melt

A thermoplastic adhesive applied hot, usually as a dot or line pattern. It grips the floor while leaving part of the back open.

TPR rubber

Thermoplastic rubber backing. Generally more flexible than latex and more durable through repeated machine washing, so it is the usual pick for rugs that will be washed often.

Certified Runners & Large Rugs

Which certificate applies depends on the yarn and the programme, so we confirm it in writing at sampling. The certificate travels with the shipment.

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100

Tested for harmful substances on the finished article. Our default certification for bath programmes.

GOTS and OCS

For programmes built on certified organic cotton, with the transaction certificate supplied with the shipment.

GRS

Global Recycled Standard, for recycled-content programmes.

Social and systems

Sedex registered, SA 8000, BSCI, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001.

Certificate scans are supplied on request. See all certifications

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you make bath runners in any size?

Yes. We make runners and large bath rugs to the length and width you specify, in tufted, 100% cotton chenille and woven constructions.

Are large bath rugs machine washable?

It depends on the size and weight. A large, dense cotton rug holds a lot of water and may be too heavy for a home machine. We wash-test the full-size sample and tell you honestly what the care label should say.

Which backing works best on a runner?

Latex gives the firmest grip and is our standard. For rugs that will be machine washed often, TPR rubber is generally more durable. We confirm the choice on a full-size sample.

Can a runner be part of a matching set?

Yes. Rug and runner sets are one of our standard set formats, made together in the same dye lot so they match.

Do US flammability rules apply to runners?

US rules for carpets and rugs depend on size: small rugs and mats fall under one standard, larger rugs under another. Agree the test plan for each size with your testing lab before bulk; we will produce and ship the samples they need.
